Canvas Dreams*, a web service provider located in Portland, Oregon, works with Portland General Electric's wind power initiative to fully power their offices and data center with 100% clean, renewable and locally produced energy. Its the "buy local" equivalent to what other green hosting services do: purchase carbon or wind energy credits.

We are aware that this is only a small and flawed step in the direction of a sustainability but we felt it important to take that step. These little details alone will not bring about a sustainable system, but without them sustainability will remain beyond our reach. We at Olohana felt it more than worth the extra expense to obtain our web services from a company whose values are in line with our own.
